Building Height Increases in Downtown

In March, City Council approved building height increases in Downtown that adhere to FAA safety. To learn more, please review the Frequently Asked Questions and updated map of maximum building heights in the vicinity of San Jose Airport

Come to the Development Services Permit Center, first floor of City Hall, for assistance with inquiries or a project submittal. We issue tickets to meet with a planner on a first come, first served basis. See Hours of Service.

Public Meetings for FY 2019-2020 Budget and Fees Public Meetings - May 14, 2019 and June 10, 2019:
Proposed New Fees and Proposed Changes to Existing Fees Related to Development Projects

As part of the budget process, the City Council will hold a series of Study Sessions and Council Meetings, May 8-13, 2019 to discuss and receive public comments on the proposed budget for fiscal year 2019-2020, including the proposed new fees and proposed changes to existing fees related to development projects.

The City Council will have two public hearings:

May 14, 2019 at 1:30 pm 
June 10, 2019 at 6:00 pm 

The public can provide comments on both the proposed budget changes to existing fees related to development projects. For more information, see the public hearing notice.
